Srinagar: The Jammu & Kashmir administration has announced a significant reshuffle of 21 senior police officers ahead of the anticipated assembly polls. According to Government Order No. 361-Home of 2024, dated 15 August 2024, this reshuffle is effective immediately and involves key transfers and postings across the state.
Key changes include:
Gurinderpal Singh (IPS, 2013) moves from AIG (P&T) at Police Headquarters (PHQ) to SSP Baramulla.
Nagpure Amod Ashok (IPS, 2013) is transferred from SSP Baramulla to SSP Udhampur.
Armitpal Singh (IPS, 2014) shifts from CO IR-2 to SSP (Tech) at CID Headquarters.
Mumtaz Ahmed (IPS, 2014) takes over as SSP Poonch, replacing Yougal Kumar Manhas.
Sandeep Gupta (IPS, 2015) is reassigned from SSP Ganderbal to AIG (Tech) PHQ, with **Wasim Qadri (JKPS, 2001) now taking over as SSP Ganderbal.

Ms. Tanushree (IPS, 2017) moves from SSP Shopian to SP SIA Kashmir.
Anayat Ali Choudhary (IPS, 2017) is reassigned from SSP Kathua to SSP Shopian.
