Kashmir: SRINAGAR, Three militants were killed in an encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in Nagnad village of DH Pora belt of South kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday.
As per reports, three militants were killed and 3 soldiers received injuries in an exchange. The injured soldiers were shifted to 92 base hospital for treatment.
Earlier a joint team of Police, army’s 9 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area. As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter. Incriminating materials including arms & ammunition have been recovered. Search is going on. Further details shall follow.
